ADAM T10S - budget "T" series active subwoofer
Ever since the first generation of ADAM "F" series budget monitors, the line consisted of three models. These are two-way monitors F5 and F7 , as well as an active subwoofer SubF. Since 2018, the "F" series is no longer in production and has been replaced by a new line of "T" monitors. However, until recently, the series that appeared consisted of only two- band models T5V and T7V . These models have successfully replaced the previous generation acoustics, but there was not enough subwoofer for full-fledged operation in the entire frequency range. And so, at the beginning of 2019, the long-awaited active sub ADAM T10S was presented, designed specifically for collaboration with two-way monitors of this series.

If the T5V and T7V monitors differed slightly from the previous models, the new T10S subwoofer is made differently and structurally differs from the previous manufacturer's subwoofers. The speaker of the T10S is not brought forward, but downward and acoustically loaded.

It uses a 10-inch speaker with a paper cone and rubber surround. The subwoofer housing is made of MDF. The acoustic design of the sub is a bass reflex circuit. The slotted port of the FI is brought back.

Connecting a subwoofer is possible through a balanced connection via an XLR connector. Unbalanced RCA connections are also possible. For ease and convenience of commutation, the subwoofer provides loop-through outputs for both connection options.
From the adjustments, you can switch the cutoff filter cutoff frequency, phase and input sensitivity. For remote switching of the subwoofer to stand by mode, there is an additional TRS jack for connecting a pedal.
The subwoofer amplifier is, as before, designed in class D. Its rated power is 130 watts. In this case, the maximum sound pressure of the subwoofer is indicated at 104 dB.
